Meet The Team

Creswell Odessa - Odie
12hh Welsh Pony Mare
Oddie is our current Equine Facilitated Learning pony. She is happy mixing with adults and children and always keen to participate. Oddie is happy to be stroked, groomed, taken for a walk or used in the activity course. Clients on farm visits can learn about feeding and care of a pony plus how to safely move around aminals.

Poppy
One Year Old Standard Poodle
Poppy is currently in training to be a therapy dog. She attends obedience classes, has done two introductory workshops for therapy dogs and now just has to continue her training and socialisation until she is 18 months old and can start the official therapy dog training with Delta Dogs. Poppy is full of life and fun. One of Poppy's favorite things to do is play football.

Larry and Dalai
Five Year old Llama Geldings
Larry and Dalhi are always on the lookout for anyone or anything new and they are the first to investigate. They are very gentle and a favorite for visitiors to meet and feed. They have both had considerable handling but like many llamas are reluctant to do much more than say hello and get something to eat. However, with suitable clients, they can be brushed and taken for a walk.

Bienaime Novelle Dark Explorer - Dora
3 Year Old Minature Poodle
Dora has had considerable training in obedience and agility. She just loves agility. Dora has always been treated kindly and given lots of love but is reluctant to show affection to strangers but more than happy to forget her shyness and play with clients on the agility course. Dora can help clients learn about respecting social boundaries both with humans and animals and have lots of fun.

The Chooks
Buffy Biscuit - Buff Orpington
We have a number of chooks but "Buffy Biscuit" is a favorite. Clients can learn a lot about looking after animals while interacting with the chooks. They are very safe, friendly and collecting the eggs is always fun. Some of the chooks have been handled a lot and with suitable clients are happy to be nursed.

Riverstone Scout - AJ
3 Year old Australian Miniature Goat
AJ and Zulu were both born and raised at a school as part of the school's agricultural program. AJ is supper friendly, very greedy and keen to meet and greet anyone. At the school, he had been taken to goat shows and won prizes. He can be taken for walks but will often try and take the leader for the walk to find food. For suitable clients the goats are lots of fun.

The Kangaroos
Welcome Visitors
A lot of wildlife calls Chiron Support home. A large group of kangaroos visit often but not every day. For clients that can learn to be quiet and move slowly, you can get quite close to them. It is a good learning experience.

Riverstone Zulu
3 Year Old Australian Miniature Goat
Zulu is very cheeky and always keen to be in on the action. As with AJ he is friendly and had lots of human interaction being born at a school. The goats are really good with clients who are a bit bold and noisy, nothing much puts these two off having fun and an adventure.

The Ducks
Abundant Bird Life
At the property, at any time you can find at least one bird. There are normally so many birds but some come and go with the seasons. A fun activity with any client is to see how many different varieties of birds you can find. Many of them are not too shy, so there are plenty of photo opportunities.
